Conwy is such a beautiful and historical town, and we loved exploring here again over the half-term . I’ve been coming here for the last 22 years and it still takes my breath away to be surrounded by so much history. 🏰The centrepiece of Conwy’s history is undoubtedly its mighty fortress, Conwy Castle, which was built as part of King Edward’s ring of castles to establish English dominance over the Welsh. Fortunately, the Welsh community is very strong here and today, the town’s well-preserved walls, historic buildings, and ancient streets provide a captivating glimpse into Conwy’s rich past. A day well spent in Conwy 🏰✨ From stepping into history at Conwy Castle to walking across the dreamy suspension bridge, this little town truly feels like a storybook. I wandered through the harbour, soaked in the charm of the town centre, and of course couldn’t miss the tiniest house in Great Britain 🏡 Food highlights? Absolutely unreal 🤍 Cheesecake brownie, rainbow cake & a warm Welsh cake from Popty Conwy 🍰 A 4-scoop ice cream moment (raspberry ripple, honeycomb, Ferrero Rocher & coconut) because why not 🍦 And later… carrot cake + Bakewell tart to end the day on the sweetest note.
