I’ve been coming here for the last 22 years and it still takes my breath away to be surrounded by so much history. 🏰The centrepiece of Conwy’s history is undoubtedly its mighty fortress, Conwy Castle, which was built as part of King Edward’s ring of castles to establish English dominance over the Welsh. Fortunately, the Welsh community is very strong here and today, the town’s well-preserved walls, historic buildings, and ancient streets provide a captivating glimpse into Conwy’s rich past.
