Ohayo Hommas!
When you think of Omurice in Japan, you probably think about Kichi Kichi in Kyoto. You want to go, but you can’t get a seat. Here is an alternative for your Omurice craving: Yellow.
Yellow is a popular Omurice restaurant in Tokyo, with several locations throughout the city. The one I’m visiting is in Ikebukuro, and if you do go to the Ikebukuro location, they have French Toast on their menu as well. I got the simplest Omurice on their menu, which came with classic ketchup rice and a beautiful egg with demi glaze sauce and melted cheese. If you are hungry, I would recommend paying an additional fee to increase the amount of rice. My only critique was their ketchup rice; it was a bit bland. Overall, it satisfied my Omurice craving, and it will be a great alternative if you missed your chance to visit Kichi Kichi.
