🚨 Brisbane’s newest Japanese street food destination has officially arrived!
18 months in the making, Oko Oko brings the energy of Shinjuku’s neon-lit streets to Eat Street with a menu created by a chef whose experience spans Nobu London and Yoko Brisbane.
Their signature? A giant wagyu pan unlike any we’ve seen in Japan. Instead of the traditional small round curry bun, this version is crispy, a little heavy and ridiculously filling. It’s super rich with premium Darling Downs Wagyu, Japanese curry and melted cheese.
But the surprise favourite? The freshly made Wagyu Okonomiyaki. Watching it cooked to order, topped with flavour-packed okonomi sauce and plenty of Kewpie mayo, was easily one of the highlights. We can’t stop thinking about how good it would be if they added that Wagyu curry filling from the kare pan on top too... someone make this happen 😍
