Can you finish a 2-pound (~900g) A5 Wagyu steak?! 👀🔥
Coco Nemaru Ginza serves a massive A5 Mogami Wagyu sirloin, grilled right in front of you. The beef comes fresh from the owner’s family farm in Yamagata and is incredibly tender and surprisingly light for a steak with a Beef Marbling Score of 10.
And they REALLY know their beef. The eldest son raises the cattle, the second son runs the restaurant, and the third son is a vet who ensures every cow stays healthy. Their family-run 1,000-acre farm (Yamaguchi Chikusan) raises around 4,000 cattle and produces Mogami beef known for its beautiful marbling and rich umami.
From breeding to finishing, everything happens on their farm before the beef is delivered straight to Coco Nemaru. This was honestly the first wagyu I could keep eating without feeling overwhelmed, thanks to the well-balanced marbling.
And if you can’t finish it, they’ll turn the rest into a wagyu bento for your next meal!
